The virtual educational hub showcases road safety topics including the Safe Cross Code, seatbelts, distracted driving, the consequences of drink or drug driving, and speeding, through interactive & fun 3D environment learning.

We recently lived through some strange times. And the ways in which students and others were learning, either in their homes or in the classroom, was changing. The Irish Road Safety Authority wanted to move with those changes so that they could continue to offer a first class road safety learning experience for all students.

Enter the RSA Learning Portal.

A new Virtual Learning Hub harnessing innovative technology. The world’s first-ever 3D remote road safety metaverse event space. A secure online place where RSA educators can lead teachers and their pupils through a heightened learning portal. Casted as avatars the students are fully engaged in the vital road safety messaging they need to learn, while also stopping off to have fun in themed rooms where they can hang and meet up with close friends.

Built in Mozilla Hubs, it's a full 360 immersive environment with spatial audio, allowing users to experience road safety lessons from the comfort of their own home, while escaping and being fully engaged in an expansive and rich 3D environment. Full of awe and wonder, it allows users to dive into life altering, behavioural changing experiences, in an impactful and breath-taking animated world.

Take a journey from above the beautiful Irish coastline & busy city streets, to Seatbelt Sheriff land, to a shocking speed simulator in space! Anything is possible. To get across the vital importance of always paying attention while using the road and the dangers it possesses.
